Multiple Dental Implants Cost

Multiple dental implants with a fixed bridge are used in cases where the patient needs to have anywhere from 3 adjacent teeth up to an entire arch of teeth replaced. As long as the jawbone is strong enough to support implants, or bone grafting can be completed on the jawbone, multiple dental implants with a fixed bridge are a great way to restore the missing teeth.

This will not only restore your smile, it will also help maintain the structure of your jaw by reducing bone loss in the jaw normally experienced after tooth loss, an important difference from using dentures. The cost of receiving multiple implants can vary significantly due to several factors including:

  • how many implants need to be placed
  • the size, quality and composition of the dental bridge
  • what type of implants are being used: mini vs traditional
  • experience and reputation of the dentist

Cost of implant supported dental bridge

Someone who wishes to replace 3 to 6 missing teeth that are adjacent to one another would require 2 to 4 dental implants. These implants will permanently support a custom made dental bridge that would restore the gap of missing teeth.

Depending on the factors above, the cost of the implant placement and the dental bridge could cost between $3,000 to $15,000

Cost of implant supported dentures

When an entire arch of teeth needs to be placed, implant supported dentures is a very common replacement option. This method uses 4 to 6 dental implants to anchor an entire upper or lower denture to the jawbone. When using dental implants to support a denture, both mini and traditional dental implants can be used.

In some cases, where the patients jawbone is still in good condition, the dentures can be supported by 4 implants in a process known as all-on-four. In this procedure, the two outer implants are placed on a 45° angle into the jawbone to cover a larger area, giving the jaw more support from deteriorating.

The cost of placing 4 to 6 traditional dental implants and a fixed denture can cost from $10,000 to $25,000

When using mini dental implants, the cost for placing 4 to 6 implants and a fixed denture can range from $3000 to $5000
